Daniel E. Levenson leads a discussion on the application of Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management principles in houses of of worship and religious nonprofits in Atlanta, Georgia on October 21, 2025. The annual conference brings together highly knowledgeable and dedicated security professionals who provide expert advice and support to the Jewish community and interfaith partners across the United States and Canada.

On October 21, 2025 Daniel moderated a discussion on Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management  (BTAM) at the annual Secure Community Network Homeland Security Summit held in Atlanta, Georgia. Joined by two top practitioners in the field, the conversation focused on both the challenges and complexities of engaging in this type of work, as well as the real opportunities and benefits it provides when dealing with Persons of Concern. The goal was to introduce some key BTAM concepts to the audience and offer lessons-learned from doing this work in the field. With hundreds of years of collective law enforcement experience in the room, this session led to some great follow-on conversations. It was also a good opportunity to elevate the critically important work that organizations like Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) and government agencies like the U.S. Secret Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Behavioral Analysis Unit are doing in this space.
